Wanderwort 4 Geheimschrift
Secret code is used to communicate messages and hide them at the same time. The oldest known example of secret writing is a hieroglyphic inscription that was placed in an Egyptian tomb nearly 4,000 years ago. We owe the unlocking of texts from this ancient world and the decoding of secret writing to ingenious puzzlers and enthusiastic scientists who are able to solve all riddles with great tenacity and a lot of creativity. For this book, which is part of the Wanderwort series, students of ArtEZ University of the Arts have produced pages with manual graphics on the theme “secret code”. Some took the theme very literally, others chose to use the theme as a metaphor.
